Container candles
Hi!!
Almost every candle I see with wax is a jar type of candle.
I 'm experimenting with the CB a while now but I see that the flamequality in jars is not that good. No matter what type of wick I try. And I have tried a few believe me
I can not test a storebought soycandle in jars ( witch I would love to do!!) or from someone else because they are not for sale in my country but I would like to hear if it's normal that the flame has difficulty burning "clean" in a jar. Or what I can do to make it better.
I experience no sooth or black inside the jars but the flame flickers a lott.
Some mushrooming does occur after a little while.
Thanks!!

Re: Container candles
Hi Anita,
From what you are saying I can only think thhe problem comes down to wicking. I am not sure what size of container or wick you are having trouble with but with all my container candles they burn smoothly and completely.
Perhaps if you could provide a little more information such as jar size and wick type it may help.
Peter

Re: Container candles
I agree with Peter. You should be able to get a good flame without mushrooming. Fragrance and wax combinations can be an issue with wicking. We normally recommend staying away from "cored" wicks like metal, cotton or paper because they tend to mushroom in our waxes. Check out our wick recommendations under "Products & Ordering" then "Using EcoSoya".
